ORCA and Employment Ontario Peel

To enhance employability and upskill prospective employees, Employment Ontario Peel and the Ontario Retirement Communities Association (ORCA) have collaborated to support job seekers with gaining sector essential and technical skills training through ORCA’s The Learning Centre for Senior Living (TLC), helping jobseekers become job ready for a career in the retirement homes sector.
 
Learning records will be provided for each participant to provide evidence to future employers of their successful completion of required training. Together, the collaboration will build a new workforce pool to support the retirement homes sector and create opportunities for eligible participants to be employed in Ontario.

Employment Ontario Peel and ORCA have come together to provide candidates with access to mandatory training modules on The Learning Centre for Senior Living. If you are located in the Peel Region and have a recruitment need, consider sending job postings to: eopeelemployer@wcgservices.com. Your job posting will be posted on the Employment Ontario Job Bank and candidates that are interested will be provided all mandatory training needed to start working in a retirement home, saving your organization time and money while obtaining qualified staff.

This partnership is an effort by Employment Ontario, together with HueMax Recruitment to help racialized job seekers find sustainable employment opportunities. HueMax Recruitment offers a job board that allows Employment Ontario Peel job seekers access to employer postings, job openings, method of TWINING and networking events.

Job Board User guides will be available to staff, to assist in employment opportunities for job seekers. Together this collaboration will offer a new platform for staff to access job opportunities.
